Deborah Clarke Schwartz, 51, of Lake Hartwell, SC., died Thursday, January 5, 2006, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC.
Mrs. Schwartz was a native of Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late John L. “Jack” Clarke and Lillie Mae Patton Clarke. She was a 1972 graduate of Enka High School and a graduate of the Fletcher School of Nursing. She was a devoted registered nurse and had most recently worked with Interim Home Health Care in South Carolina.
She was an animal lover and dog trainer. She enjoyed fishing and was an avid Tar Heel fan.
Surviving are her husband, L. Richard Schwartz; one son, Brian Carver and his wife, Darlene, of Asheville; two grandchildren, Cody and Emily; one sister, Diane Clarke-Hawkins and her husband, Daryl, of Asheville; and two step-children, John Schwartz of Chattanooga, TN and Mary Carles of Sunset Beach, CA.
A Funeral Mass will be concelebrated by the Rev. Fr. John M. Pagel and the Rev. Mr. Rudy Triana at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
