Fairview ~ Dorothy Viola Anderson Hare, 93, of Fairview died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Fleshers of Fairview Health Care Center.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late D. G. and Linnie Frady Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hiram H. Hare who died in 1966; three daughters, Faye Tipton, Barbara Howard and Lillian Hare; three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by two sons-in-law, Daniel Howard and his wife, Melba and Carl Tipton; six grandchildren, Gary, Danny, Tim and Amos Howard, Gene Tipton and Tresa England; ten great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, July 27, 2007 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by Reverend Donald Hare and Reverend Walter Hare. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 pm Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
