Fairview ~ Grace Elizabeth McAbee, 85, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at Mission Hospital.
Mrs. McAbee was born in Buncombe County to the late Fate and Lucy Mae Craig Weaver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Mcabee; a son, Henry McAbee Jr. and one brother.
Grace was a member of Asheville United Christian Church for over 20 years and she loved her church family, her own family and everyone she ever met.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Stone Faris and her husband, Lee of Palmyra, VA and Jean Callahan of Rutherford, NC; a son, Clarence McAbee of Fairview; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 20, 2012 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Reverend Larry Nix officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Funeral Home on Friday.
