Lucille Swayngim McAllister, 89, of Rose St., Asheville, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Mission Hospitals.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Edward and Bonnie Teague Swayngim. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde D. McAllister; sons Jerry and Bill McAllister; and daughter Darlene McAllister.
Mrs. McAllister was a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Ingle and her husband, Brad, of Asheville; grandchildren Jason, Kenneth, Jamie, Holly, and Kendall; and 6 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wade Zachary officiating. Interment will follow at French Broad Baptist Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
