Helen Eileen Witthoft, 85, of Asheville passed away on Monday June 11, 2012.
Mrs. Witthoft was born in to Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson in Colorado Springs, CO. She grew up in New Mexico; acquired a degree in Nursing Education from the University of Pittsburg, PA. She lived in many states in her adult life. She has made her home in Asheville for the past 25 years where she was an RN and was a nursing instructor at AB Tech.
Her husband, Olin Witthoft and her son David Witthoft preceded her in death. Her survivors include her son Michael Witthoft and wife Sheri Witthoft of Hong Kong, China. Four grandchildren, Andrew Witthoft of Glenwood Springs, CO; Anna Rueger of Biddeford, ME; Olin Witthoft of Glouster, MA and Brandi Witthoft of Fletcher, NC; and a great grandson.
A memorial will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday 14 July at Skyland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Turman officiating.
