Glennan Mehaffey, 65, was called home Friday, October 30, 2009, at the John F. Keever Solace Center following a long battle with cancer.
Born and raised in the Newfound community, Glennan was the daughter of the late Buddy and Della Morgan. Glennan was a 1962 graduate of Leicester High School and was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Mehaffey; her son, Scott Mehaffey, his wife, Jennifer, and granddaughters, Shelby and Mekayla. She is also survived by brothers, Joe Morgan and wife, Millie, and Webb Morgan and wife, Melinda, as well as her sisters, Dot Cole and Dean Terrell and husband, Joe.
Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Hill Baptist Church Family Life Center, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. in the church cemetery. The Revs. Bobby Smith and Jack W. Collins, and Mr. DeRoy Clark will officiate.
At other times, the family will be at home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Anders, Morris Mehaffey, Van Mehaffey, Jon Morgan, Shannon Morgan, David Murphy, Keith Radcliff, and Garland Terry.
