Fletcher ~ Cassandra "Cassie" Anne Rutledge, 29, of Fletcher, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009.
She was born in Buncombe County and was the daughter of Arthur Eugene and Diane Coleman Rutledge of Arden.
She preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Hugh and Selma Worley Rutledge and maternal grandmother, Anne Odom Coleman.
She was a 1998 graduate of TC Roberson High School, a graduate of the University of North Carolina � Asheville, and a sister of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.
More recently she worked as the Community Association Property Administrator at Mountain Aire in Burnsville, NC. Cassie was a lifelong member of Skyland United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Hampton Howard Rutledge of Cameron, NC; maternal grandfather, Solomon Hampton Coleman of Lady Lakes, Fl., as well as many other close family members and friends.
Cassie was known for her generosity of spirit, compassion for others, passion for life, love of animals, loyalty to family and friends, a wonderful laugh, and a smile that warmed everyone she met.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 6, 2009 at Skyland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Turman and Rev. Ellis Rouse.
Burial will follow in Calvary Episcopal Churchyard.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Thursday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road.
