My Mom (Sally Holmes) was a member of Lila's book club at Givens. She always spoke very highly of Lila and the book club. I have some special memories of Lila especially her smile. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I carry fond memories of Lila and of the smile that always graced her face. I'm most apporeciative of the wonderful care she took of Dad during his unsuccessful struggle with Parkinson's. I look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.

When my Dad married Lila a year after my Mom died, Lila became my stepmother for what turned out to be 30 years. She brought great joy to my Dad and all the family. Lila became a very special friend and confidant and I loved being around her. I will miss her loving spirit but treasure all our wonderful memories. Love you! Anne

I worked with Faye at NCDC she was such wonderful person, always had a smile and a kind word for you.

I was sad to hear that Lila has passed from our world in body but I know not in spirit. What wonderful memories I have of her being a second mother to me through the years of our families' visits and hikes together. As a child I appreciated her humor, her abundant and delicious cooking and her steadfast patience with Mary and me. As an adult I have continued to value her friendship, kindnesses and wit. In fact, she just might have been the funniest person I've ever known! Lila was truly an angel on earth and I can feel her peace and hear her chuckle as she looks down on us...

My sister Ellen said it best - caring and gracious. I don't know another person that those words describe better than Lila. My mother was very lucky to claim her as her friend. Peace to her as well as to Cleve and to Mary who traveled that hard road with her those last several years.
