I was saddened to learn of Pat's passing over the weekend. It only seems like yesterday that you moved to Asheville and Pat got active with the radio club. I know I was blessed to have him working with me on club activites, and especially in the emergency management / communications work while I was the coordinator.

Know that your loss is shared by many. The legacy that Pat left shines in each of you. Thank you for sharing him with all of us.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pat last year when he so graciously came to my classroom to help my students take part in the Amateur Radio Roundup. He encouraged me to get my licence; when I did, he kindly loaned me one of his radios to use until I could choose one for myself. What a wonderful man he was. I consider it a blessing that I had the chance to get to know him. Even though I did not have many chances to visit with him after I moved, I enjoyed the emails he sent. I will miss him dearly.

Patrick was always very nice to me and I will never forget him. May God be with his family in this time of sorrow.

Patty, My thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids. Pat helped me though the most difficult time in my life and will always have a special place in my heart. He was such a dear friend to daddy, now they can be together again.

I worked with Patrick for many years at Mission Hospital. On dreary winter days or when things were hectic and seemed unorganized, Patrick would bound through the door with a beautiful smile and remind us all that the world was about love and laughter. He will be truly missed.
